ohai all — here’s some good Monday news from the world of zombie civil rights. Yes, there is such a thing: to protest mindless consumerism, a group of activists dressed up as zombies and showed up in a Minneapolis shopping district. (You know, like in Dawn of the Dead, but more protest-y.) The police promptly put the zombies in a holding cell, who are now suing the cops for wrongful detention. Allowing the suit to go forward, a judge acknowledged the right of “peaceful people for engaging in an artistic protest by… broadcasting statements (and) dressing as zombies.” So keep fighting the power, brain eaters!
