Mixed reviews for “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”
Reviews are coming in for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the follow-up from the author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but so far, they seem fairly mixed. Wired appreciates “Abraham Lincoln absolutely kicking vampire butt, effective interweaving of fiction and historical fact”, but Entertainment Weekly gives it a meh, calling it “a trivial book, clinging to a fad past its prime”. I dunno, maybe the execution was fail, but I still like the idea of the Great Emancipator emancipating hearts of the undead with a sharp spike.

How awful is this I mean really Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest people past or present. This country and mankind owe him a debt of gratitude and this is how we repay him?? By dragging his name, his reputation everything he stood for through the mud to sell a book. I would be hard pressed to say Abe would kill any creature. I, for one, love a good vampire book however this is not a good vampire book. I would have expected more from the man that gave us “Pride and Prejudice”. Even the cover of the book turns my stomach. Seems like anyone will write anything these days to sell a book. I am greatly disappointed and I will never read another book by this author. If by writing this book his intent was to garauntee his future non-success then he has accomplished his goal ten fold.
Vampires bad, Lincoln good. I like it.
Dig the axe! “Railsplitter my a**!” Boom.
Will see the movie.
