Just in time for the new version of The Wolfman opening this week starring Benicio Del Toro, the New York Times has a fun field guide to movie werewolves through the decades, from Lon Chaney Jr’s first hairy appearance in 1941 to Taylor Lautner’s turn in New Moon last year. For Lautner’s wolf man, strengths include “Chiseled musculature that reveals itself whenever werewolf transformation deprives him of his garments”… and weaknesses include “Inability to sense danger when companions are under attack from Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards”, har!
