City of Eternals’ epic update is finally here: New Minion mini-game system, customizable player homes, leaderboards, and much much much more!
ohai, vampirinos! I know you’ve been going almost as crazy as we have waiting for all this awesome new stuff to get into the game. You’ve probably already noticed, but that wait is over! We’ve barely taken the shrinkwrap off this release, but here’s a quick look at all the new features:
Choose your Vampire House!
What kind of vampire do you want to be? Click on the shield at the top of your screen and decide which house you belong in! Check it out here!
New minion system!
Our game within a game, recruit hundreds of your Facebook friends to go on missions, earn you treasure, gain you power! If you’re not how to get started, introduce your eyes to this guide!
Customizable player homes!
Next time you’re in-game, click the “Go to your home” button, then the new “Edit” button on the top right screen. That’s right: you can now remodel the furniture in your home. And add new furniture too. Which brings us to the next item…
Shop at VIKEA!
Yes, there’s a whole warehouse of fine furnishings for sale in the Commercial District. Talk to your friendly VIKEA Salesman today to start building your dream home. There’s a guide here, but, sorry, decorating acumen is not included.
Leaderboard!
Compete with fellow players to be the best New Valencia vampire in several categories — Knowledge, Fighter, Style, Minions, and most important of all, Prestige. We’re pretty sure you’ll figure it out, but here’s a mini-guide in case you want the details.
New chat interface!
Live conversation with your fellow players in multiple channels — including direct vampire-to-vampire private messages. It’s mostly self-explanatory, but perhaps reading this guide will remind of you of the soul-deadening nightmare we kindly referred to as “chat.”
User interface upgrade!
The UI has been upgraded to display more information while taking up less screen space– especially when you play it on the main site. No guide, but just try and avoid it!
Player community forums!
Finally, trade game tips, plan City of Eternals events, or just chew the vampire fat with fellow players and ohai team members here. So, once you’ve checked everything out, head here and let us know what you think!
That’s just the tip of the iceberg, and under that whole iceberg there’s just another series of enormous icebergs anyway, but we don’t want to spoil all the surprises. Check it out on your own and learn by playing! Much thanks to all the ohais who worked so hard on this massive update, especially Chris, Eric, Jill, Bob and Franky! Make sure you send them some love in the forums or if you see them wandering around the New New Valencia! (You can still call it New Valencia, but I won’t).

Weirdest thing. Having difficulty staying logged into the forums for more than a page at a time, as a result I can’t post or check my profile or anything, I just get a blank box.
Love the new release and functions, pimped my home a bit.
Just one thing – as with previous major CoE updates/releases you seem to have introduced a major bug into the Vampires app (and it is the same bug as before). It’s been nearly 3 days now and it still hasn’t been fixed (last 2 times you fixed it within 24 hours if I remember correctly – certainly not this long). Given that it IS the same problem that has happened before, surely it would have been possible to apply the necessary patches BEFORE releasing the CoE upgrade?
