City of Eternals Player of the Week: Stacie!

stacie2Currently a level 75 fighter with alchemical and fashionista leanings, we spotted Stacie F. helping newer City of Eternals players in the Haunting area, cheerfully dispensing useful game advice in chat. Maybe that’s because in real life, she’s studying to be a registered nurse. “I like to joke that I am an amateur cultural anthropologist,” as she puts it. “I find people fascinating. I also am a nurturer by nature, so I like having a job that helps others.” We wanted to know more about this benevolent Vampire currently living in Nevada.

Her favorite Vampire fiction
I read all the early Anne Rice and loved the first few. Poppy Z. Bright writes some compelling stuff. I am actually writing a nearly comedic but still creepy vampire novel of my own that is about half finished. I hope to complete it next year after I am done with school.

How she discovered City of Eternals, and what she enjoys most about it
[Fell into it through Facebook] like a lot of others have done. I enjoy finding new players and giving them a leg up. New games can get frustrating if you are just getting killed ALL the time. The whole online community thing should be about having fun with other people through the digital feed. Today I was playing with a group from literally all over the world. If I ever go to Bangkok, I already have a hostel to stay in!

Other games she enjoys
I like The Sims series… Once upon a time I played Everquest, but since I stopped playing and started getting involved in healthy pursuits I lost 30 pounds. I am in a “mixed faith household” in that I am a gamer but my husband isn’t, so I need to make time for family too.

Some of her non-game hobbies
I have a ton of interests. I love Middle Eastern dancing (bellydancing), fencing, writing fiction and poetry, and am a total movie nut and an incredible cook, if I don’t mind saying so, and I don’t.

Her playing style

I think of myself as a bit of a mystical creature, given to random acts of gift-giving that I hope doesn’t make me look like an easy mark in a world where commerce seems to be the name of the game sometimes. I am not a sucker, I am just nice.

If you see Stacie in-game, be sure to say hi!
